WPT Amneville Day 4

By Julia, 06, November, 2011 - 14:18

19 players came back for Day 4 of the WPT Amneville on Saturday to play for a place at the final table. Once again Scott Baumstein finished the day in the lead with 3.91 million chips. He has most impressive chip lead with over 1.3 million chips advantage than his nearest competitor.

At the start of the day Ovidiu Balaj was the first player to hit the rail. He was soon followed by Nicolas Dervaux. Jean-Philipe Rohr began the day with the shortest stack and busted out in the 15th place. Arnaud Mattern was eliminated in the 14th place. Interestingly that both Rohr and Mattern fell victims of the same hand in Level 20.

With the blinds at 5,000/10,000/1,000 Adrien Allain raised from the button to 22,000. Mattern, on the small blind reraised to 66,000 and Rohr, on the big blind, reraised all in to 151,000. Both Allain and Mattern called.

10c, 3h, 2h came on the flop. Mattern opened with a bet of 80,000 and Allain shoved all in. Mattern called and open pocket tens. Allain showed pocket aces and Rohr had pocket jacks.

The board looked promising to Mattern until Ac appeared on the turn. 6c on the river was blank to all players and Allain’s set of acets was the winner.

Joseph Cheong started the day at the fourth position on the leaderboad and finished in the 13th place when his A,K could not stand against Tony Blanchandin's pair of pocket tens.

The final table set up was completed when Anders Bisgaard was eliminated in the 7th place and level 24. With blinds of 12,000/24,000/4,000 Allain raised to 50,000, Thibaud Guenegou called from the small blind and Bisgaard, on the big blind, reraised all in. Guenegou chose to fold with pocket nines. Allain showed pocket aces and Bisgaard had pocket jacks. The board of Qh, Qs, 10c, As, 4c awarded Allain with a full house and sent Bisgaard home once place short of the final table.
