WSOPE 2011 Event 5, €10,300 Split Format No Limit Holdem
Michael Mizrachi became a two-time WSOP bracelet holder after winning the top prize from 125 entrants in the Event 5, €10,300 Split Format No Limit Holdem. Mizrachi was in the lead for most part of the heads-up part of the event and truly deserved the bracelet and the top prize of €336,008. This cash-in moves him to number six of All-Time Money List with just under $12 million of winnings.
Earlier in Day 3 of the Event Mizrachi played just one hand to defeat Kent Lundmark, when both players went all in. Mizrachi opened pocket kings and Lundmark showed pocket tens. The board blacked both players and ended the game for Lundmark, leaving Mizrachi with a huge stack of chips. Next Mizrachani crumbled Brian Hastings and although it took more than one hand it seemed to be an easy win.
In Day 4 the battle was set between Mizrachi and Roger Hairabedian in the semifinal. This game lasted several long hours without a lot of chip movement. However after several attempts Mizrachi finally managed to cut through his opponent’s defense.
The final was between Mizrachi and Shawn Buchanan. This was amazing action as both players were in the head-up to be WSOP bracelet holders this year in Las Vegas but both fell in the second place and were now looking for the honor. Buchanan began the final in 2:1 chip disadvantage. The lady luck did not seem to be on his side either especially in one hand where his Ac, Jd failed to stand against Mizrachini’s Ah, 10d when a ten came up on the flop.

WSOPE 2011 Event 6, €1,090 Pot Limit Omaha.
Event 6, €1,090 Pot Limit Omaha final day provided spectators with most amazing action; it is truly remarkable to finish a bracelet event in under four hours. However Philippe Boucher managed to do exactly that as he tore through the field of opponents. When the action began it took over an hour and a half to lose the first player but after that the game turned out to be a one-man show.
Boucher eliminated his opponents one by one and every time a player pushed all in Boucher sent him to the rail. The lady luck also did not seem to leave his side and stayed close whenever he needed it.
First Jack Ellwood busted out when he found himself against Ah, Ad, Kh, Jh. Then Jarred Solomon followed his suit when he had to call in with a questionable hand. He was followed by Alexander Dovzhenko and Nicolas Fierro. In the heads up it was Boucher against Michel Dattani and just after a few hands Dattani pushed all in with his remaining chips for the pot of 30,000. In the final hand of the day Dattani held Ac, Ad, Jd, 7s opposite Boucher’s As, Qc, 10d, 9c. The board brought 6c, 6d, 8c, Js, Qh and sent Dattani home with €76,982 earnings and awarded the title, the bracelet and the top prize of €124,584 to Boucher.
